Welcome to the Social Cognitive Development Lab!

Our lab, led by Dr. Gail Heyman, studies how children reason about the social world.

We ask question such as:

How does the culture children grow up in affect their development?

How do children learn from others?

What affects children’s social behavior?

How do children reason about the social behavior of other people?

To answer these questions, we interview children 5 to 12 years of age.
